Hubby loves split pea soup - and likes to take it for lunches. This is quick and easy to throw in the slow cooker.
HINT - Use a slow cooker liner
16 Ounces Dried Green Split Peas, Rinsed
2 Cups Cooked Ham, Cubed
1 Cup Julienned Carrots
4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1/2 Tsp Dried Thyme
1 Bay Leaf
30 Ounces Low Sodium Chicken Stock
2 Cups Water
Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker, stir. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove bay leaf and serve.
